Student Learning Outcomes
The Sociology Department has established three Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for students who obtain a BA in Sociology.
- Students will be able to evaluate sociological theories and use them to analyze and understand aspects of the social world.
- Students will be able to collect, analyze, and interpret data, and draw valid conclusions from their analyses.
- Students will have clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Students' mastery of the Sociology Department's SLOs is an important contribution to fulfilling the Mānoa Institutional Learning Objectives.
