Bachelors to Masters Degree (BAM)

The Department of Sociology is very excited to announce that our proposal to offer a Bachelors to Masters Degree (BAM) program has been approved. The program will begin in Fall of 2023.

  • The BAM program is designed to allow students to complete both a BA and an MA in sociology in five years.
  • The BAM program allows students to take up to three courses (nine credits) that count towards both the BA and the MA at the undergraduate tuition rate. 

How to Apply

Students should apply for the program early in the second semester of their third year of undergraduate studies. The deadlines to apply for the graduate program in sociology and the BAM in sociology are the same.

Prerequisite

Applicants must have taken SOC 321: Survey of Sociological Theory and have received a B or higher grade to be accepted into the program.
